Before withdrawing from OKX after a campaign: which balances are locked, and why
Trial funds, vouchers and rewards with holding periods can make part of an OKX balance unavailable for withdrawal. Learn where to see available versus frozen amounts and how to plan a clean exit.
OKX | the reader's region | the reader's funding currency | referral terms and fee claims
The number at the top of the Assets page is the total value of what the account holds, not what you can send out right now. After a campaign, part of that total may be a voucher that only works on trading fees, trial funds that stay inside a product, or a reward that the terms say must be held for a period. Trying to withdraw the full figure leads to an error or a smaller amount than expected, and some people assume the account has been restricted. Splitting the balance into what is free, what is locked and what is not really yours to move takes a few minutes and avoids that confusion.
Separate the Funding and Trading accounts first
OKX keeps balances in more than one account. Withdrawals are made from the Funding account, so coins sitting in the Trading account need an internal transfer first. In Assets, open each account and note the coin, the total and the available figure. If a coin shows a frozen or in-use portion, it is usually tied to an open order, a margin position or an earn product. Cancel or close those deliberately, one at a time, rather than all together, so you can see which action released which amount.
Identify reward balances that cannot leave the account
Open the rewards centre and look at each item you claimed. Vouchers that reduce trading fees, futures trial bonuses and similar items are generally usable only inside OKX and disappear when they expire; they are not part of a withdrawable balance at all. For rewards paid in a coin, read the original terms for any holding or trading requirement that applies before withdrawal. If the terms are silent, ask support before you move the coin, because some campaigns reverse a reward when its conditions are no longer met.
Check the withdrawal fee and minimum on the live page
Each coin and network has its own withdrawal fee and minimum amount, and both appear on the withdrawal screen once you choose the network. The OKX fee pages also list them, but the screen you are about to confirm is the version that matters. Withdrawing a small reward can cost a noticeable share of its value on some networks, so compare two or three supported networks and choose one your destination accepts. Never pick a network only because it is cheaper if the receiving wallet or platform does not list it.
Withdraw in a clear order and keep the record
Start with a small amount to an address you have used before or one saved in the address book, confirm it arrives, then send the remainder. Note the date, amount, network, fee and transaction hash in the same notebook or sheet where you track your rewards, so the campaign and its exit sit side by side. If a recent security change, such as a new password or device, has placed a temporary hold on withdrawals, the withdrawal page will say so; wait it out instead of contacting support to remove it.
Risk boundary: OKX Referral Terms Guide
Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. Scenario checkpoint
- Transfer coins from the Trading account to the Funding account before withdrawing.
- Treat fee vouchers and trial bonuses as non-withdrawable and check their expiry dates.
- Read any holding condition attached to coin rewards before moving them off OKX.
- Compare the live withdrawal fee and minimum across networks your destination supports.
- Send a small test first, then log date, network, fee and hash next to the campaign entry.
